Kim “Jae” Jaehan – Rebellion’s Lead Singer. Before Rebellion, Jae was Black Shade’s lead singer. He was in an unhealthy relationship with Park Jaesun, which ended after Rebellion couldn’t perform at concerts. Jae is in a relationship with Dan. He plays guitar and piano and writes music for Rebellion.
Suk Dan – Jade Entertainment’s C.E.O/ Rebellion’s Former Manager. He is in a relationship with Jaehan and is very protective of him. He has worked hard to grow Jade Entertainment and considers Jae’s family his own.
Kang Junghee – Rebellion’s Lead Guitarist/ Backup Vocals. Junghee and Jae are close friends, and when Jae is down, Junghee takes over the hard parts of the band. He is the most grounded of the band. Junghee has also branched into acting when the band is not busy.
Song Andre – Rebellion’s Bass & Piano Player/ Backup Vocals. He is the most passion-driven one in Rebellion. He finds Dan when Junghee and Jae decide to take a break. He loves performing on stage and prefers it when the band is on tour. In Rebellion Rising, Jae and Andre must come to terms with a new change in their relationship.

Rebellion started when Jae, Junghee, and Andre left N-sang Entertainment. Their first album was under The Rand Agency, a Japanese entertainment company that promised to get them back on track. Due to industry pressure from N-Sang, The Rand Agency terminated Rebellion’s contract and placed all their songs on ice. Defeated, they return home to Seoul and live ordinary lives until Andre introduces Suk Dan to Jae and Junghee. Rebellion starts again, going to school first, then dropping their first album, Rough Terrain, under Jade Entertainment. They return home to Seoul after a successful tour abroad.

Kang Sang – Junghee’s Brother. He is the first lawyer to help Rebellion with their contract case.
Kim So Jin – She is Jae’s eighth (8th) sister. She is the only one of his sisters to know about his personal life. Jae is very close to So Jin and worries most about her.
Kim Gae In – She is Jae’s mom. She has learned to rely on Dan for news about her youngest child, Jae. She tells Dan to support Jae in the ways she never can.
Park Jaesun – He is a former Black Shade member. He chose to stay with N-Sang Entertainment when Rebellion left. He blames Jaehan for the disbandment of Black Shade and always tries to get back at him. Jaesun now uses the alias JP as a solo singer under N-Sang Entertainment.
Harry Yoon – He is Rebellion’s exclusive manager. He took over from Suk Dan. He and Dan have a long history that Jaehan sometimes finds intimidating. By Rebellion Rising, Harry has developed an attachment to Jaehan that he can’t explain easily.
Ken – He is Jae’s personal bodyguard. After Jae’s first disappearance, he takes no chances and is more strict with Jae regarding security.
Mr. Chang – Dan’s close friend and Jade Entertainment’s main lawyer. He has been with Dan from the start. Dan sees him as family, and they often meet with Mr. Chang and his wife for meals.
Jade Entertainment (JE)
An Entertainment company registered in Seoul, South Korea. It is owned by Suk Dan in equal share with Rebellion (Kim Jaehan, Kang Junghee and Song Andre). Jade Entertainment is Rebellion’s management and distribution label.
N-Sang Entertainment
An Entertainment company based in Seoul, South Korea. It is run by Sang Taek. He discovered Kim Jaehan, Kang Junghee, Song Andre and Park Jaesun. Grooming them into the group Black Shade until they became a national success. Notorious for unfair contracts and industry interference.
The Rand Agency
An Entertainment Company based in Tokyo, Japan. Rebellion has been in a legal battle with The Rand Agency to escape fines for unfair contracts. They worked with N-sang to suppress Rebellion.
